Startup Items
Every time you start your computer there are programs that startup automatically, antivirus, printers, etc. Often there can be too many unnecessary items in your startup. You can safely remove unnecessary items from your startup through the following steps:
1 click the Windows START button
2 click RUN (or in Vista just type RUN) and press ENTER
3 type MSCONFIG
4 click on STARTUP
5 remove items that are unnecessary to start up every time you start your computer always leave your antivirus in startup)
6 click OK and RESTART your computer
7 upon starting you will be prompted by the configuration utility: CLICK "dont show me this again" and click OK
